Darboux points and integrability of homogeneous Hamiltonian systems with three and more degrees of freedom

چکیده
We consider natural complex Hamiltonian systems with n degrees of freedom given by a Hamiltonian function which is a sum of the standard kinetic energy and a homogeneous polynomial potential V of degree k > 2. The well known Morales-Ramis theorem gives the strongest known necessary conditions for the Liouville integrability of such systems. It states that for each k there exists an explicitly known infinite set Mk ⊂ Q such that if the system is integrable, then all eigenvalues of the Hessian matrix V′′(d) calculated at a non-zero d ∈ Cn satisfying V′(d) = d, belong to Mk. The aim of this paper is, among others, to sharpen this result. Under certain genericity assumption concerning V we prove the following fact. For each k and n there exists a finite set In,k ⊂ Mk such that if the system is integrable, then all eigenvalues of the Hessian matrix V′′(d) belong to In,k. We give an algorithm which allows to find sets In,k. We applied this results for the case n = k = 3 and we found all integrable potentials satisfying the genericity assumption. Among them several are new and they are integrable in a highly nontrivial way. We found three potentials for which the additional first integrals are of degree 4 and 6 with respect to the momenta. Relationships between Darboux Integrability and Limit Cycles for a Class of Able Equations
We consider the class of polynomial differential equation x&= , 2(,)(,)(,)nnmnmPxyPxyPxy++++2(,)(,)(,)nnmnmyQxyQxyQxy++&=++. For where and are homogeneous polynomials of degree i. Inside this class of polynomial differential equation we consider a subclass of Darboux integrable systems. Moreover, under additional conditions we proved such Darboux integrable systems can have at most 1 limit cycle.
متن کاملDarboux points and integrability of homogeneous Hamiltonian systems with three and more degrees of freedom. Nongeneric cases
In this paper the problem of classification of integrable natural Hamiltonian systems with n degrees of freedom given by a Hamilton function which is the sum of the standard kinetic energy and a homogeneous polynomial potential V of degree k > 2 is investigated. It is assumed that the potential is not generic. Except for some particular cases a potential V is not generic, if it admits a nonzero...
متن کاملMeasures of Chaos in Hamiltonian Systems
Hamiltonian systems with two or more degrees of freedom are generally nonintegrable which usually involves chaotic dynamics. The size of the chaotic sets determines for a large part the nature and influence of chaos. Near stable equilibrium we can obtain normal forms that often produce ‘formal integrability’ of the Hamiltonian system and at the same time produce rigorous but not necessarily opt...
متن کاملNecessary conditions for partial and super-integrability of Hamiltonian systems with homogeneous potential
We consider a natural Hamiltonian system of n degrees of freedom with a homogeneous potential. Such system is called partially integrable if it admits 1 < l < n independent and commuting first integrals, and it is called super-integrable if it admits n + l, 0 < l < n independent first integrals such that n of them commute. We formulate two theorems which give easily computable and effective nec...
متن کاملConstruction of Darboux coordinates in noncanonical Hamiltonian systems via normal form expansions
Darboux’s theorem guarantees the existence of local canonical coordinates on symplectic manifolds under certain conditions. We demonstrate a general method to construct such Darboux coordinates in the vicinity of a fixed point of a noncanonical Hamiltonian system via normal form expansions. The procedure serves as a tool to naturally extract canonical coordinates and at the same time to transfo...
